Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite – Whiten Teeth Easily
Posted on 19. Apr, 2009 by in Electric Toothbrush Ratings, Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite, Philips Sonicare Toothbrush
The Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite is another addition to the Sonicare toothbrush line that does categorize with my problem for Sonicare. Like I said in my last post, they have a tendency of building a new model electric toothbrush that consists of all the features of the previous models, plus a small additional feature that distinguishes itself from the rest of the brushes. With this toothbrush, its additional feature, the Clean & White mode, the cost is warranted.
When you choose the Clean & White mode of brushing, you get the normal 2 minute brushing experience, plus an additional 30 seconds of high powered whitening performance. This allows for greater stain removal, far beyond the standard that a sonic care toothbrush provides.
Features of the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite:
- 3 Modes of brushing: Clean & White, Clean, & Sensitive
- Easy-Start programing which gently increases power over the initial 14 uses
- Smart Timer and Quadpacer ensures 2 minutes of brushing with 30 second intervals
My personal ratings of the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite:
I read a comment from someone a while ago who said that the Sonicare HealthyWhite is just a cheaper version of the Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush, minus the UV sanitizer. I’d have to agree with that user. Both of these brushes use the same brush head, the ProResults head, and like I’ve said, Sonicare doesn’t like to make dramatic changes to its successful formula so there will be some people who feel slighted by the fact that the brush is a cheaper version of the Sonicare Flexcare.
As for its usage, it definitely provides the cleaning of a sonic care toothbrush. The initial usage Easy-Start mode became a little annoying for me since my gums are already accustomed to an electric toothbrush so I guess you could say I was anxious to experience the full potential of the brush. After the 14 uses, it performed like a Sonicare toothbrush is known to do.
I personally feel that the whitening mode of the Clean & White option should be extended to a full minute with a 30 second beep to signify to change to the other half of your mouth. But as it is, you can truly feel the stain removing power that comes with this mode.
Electric Toothbrush Ratings grade: 6.5 out of 10 the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite is great at whitening teeth, one of the best in fact, and can be a average addition to your oral health care routine. If whitening your teeth is your only concern, I highly recommend this toothbrush.
