My Personal Oral B 5000 Review
When I get a new electric toothbrush, such as the Oral B 5000, I like to go to the dentist before my first use of the electric toothbrush to get a sort of before and after understanding of the toothbrush. I’ll use the toothbrush for 6 months and then return to the dentist to see if there was a noticeable improvement.
My twice daily routine for any toothbrush I have consists of using Plackers, brushing for 2 minutes and then rinsing with Listerine.
I did this same routine with the 5000 series except I had one added stipulation. I also used the ProWhite brush head ever day when I came home from work. I love the fact that the brush automatically turns on in Whitening mode when you have the ProWhite brush head in place.
When you get a thorough cleaning, you can definitely feel the difference on the surface of your teeth. As your run your tongue across your teeth you don’t feel any film or substance, just clean teeth. That’s the feeling I got when I used the Oral B 5000 electric toothbrush, each and every time I used the brush!

My dentist was noticeably impressed with the reduced level of plaque on my teeth. My teeth are usually in very good condition because of how obsessive I tend to be with personal hygiene but she was did comment that the plaque behind my lower front teeth had been reduced dramatically (a spot that I always had trouble with).

I’ve had this toothbrush for a year now and it’s my favorite thus far! My dentist has told me that my plaque is less and less each visit and my teeth seem whiter. My only problem with this toothbrush is that when its time to replace the brush head, it only flashes very quickly at the beginning of the brush sequence so you have to be on the look out for that.
Otherwise…A+ toothbrush!

Did my homework.
Took in all the offerings. Made the decision. Will never look back. ORAL-B 5000 – hands down. First brush after the purchase and teeth already feel amazing. No plaque or tarter feel, no film etc.
My wife and I share this, using our different heads and we are both very happy with the results. We almost fight over it sometimes.

I bought this unit. Thought it might be overkill for the price, however my teeth have never felt so incredible.
